 OUR MISSION

The mission of the Youth Ministry of Metropolitan Church of God is to teach young people age 13-17 Biblical principles that will enable them to grow and mature spiritually as they move towards adulthood. This mission is fulfilled as the youth learn to love the Lord and each other.
There are a variety of activities that take place within the Youth Ministry. Here are a few:

 YOUTH BIBLE STUDY

The Youth Bible Study is the core of the Youth Ministry. Young persons gather on Wednesday nights from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in order to study the Word of God, pray, and talk about issues that relate to their lives. Transportation is provided to and from Bible Study.

 CONVENTIONS

The youth of Metropolitan Church of God attend two youth conventions annually. The Michigan State Youth Convention (MYC), normally is held at Western Michigan University in May. They also attend the National Inspirational Youth Convention in December. Because this convention is held in various cities across the country, it provides an opportunity for our youth to travel and meet other kids from across the nation.

 BRIDGE EVENTS

Through Bridge Events, the youth participate in a variety of activities with the senior and adult saints in an effort to bridge the generational gap between them. Examples of Bridge Events include bowling, dinners, and service projects.

 FUN STUFF

Another significant endeavor of the Youth Ministry is to get the youth together to have good old-fashioned fun! In recent years, the youth have gone to Zap Zone, C.J. Barrymore’s, Cedar Point, and enjoyed premium seats at a Piston’s game. They also have displayed their skills in talent shows, tobogganed, snow surfed, ice skated, laser tagged, bowled, and played basketball together.
