| The mission of the Young Adult Ministry of Metropolitan Church of God is to teach young adults the Word of God as it relates to their specific concerns, equip them for ministry, and provide opportunities for them to fellowship with one another. This mission is fulfilled as the young adults find the Lord, find believing friends, and find a job within the church | |
| Typically, this ministry serves men and women age 18-40; however, others that feel young at heart are also welcomed to participate in YAM activities. | |
| Bible Study is a central aspect of the Young Adult Ministry. Frequently, the topics and discussions grow out of the lives and concerns of the young adults themselves. The study usually takes place once a month on Thursday nights, but it meets twice a month in the winter. Bible Study takes place in the Oden Fellowship Hall throughout most of the year, and is held in various homes during the summer. Specific information about Bible Study dates and locations can be obtained from the church office. | |
| Social interaction in as extremely important aspect of YAM. The Young Adult Ministry offers a sense of belonging and a family atmosphere that many young adults need for normalcy. Therefore, social interaction takes place in a variety of official and spontaneous venues. In the past, the young adults hve gathered to go to the movies, bowl, watch T.V., lift weights, dine, and celebrate birthdays, etc. |
