| The mission of Usher Ministry is to make people glad they came to Metropolitan Church of God for worship service; where the Holy Spirit ministered to their needs through sermons, prayers, music and the human kindness of an usher—thereby bringing glory to God in the Lord’s house on the Lord’s Day. The ministry’s function is to provide cooperation with the pastor, ministerial staff, musicians, teachers and other lay leaders in directing all people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. | |
The Usher board consists of a group of dedicated and hospitable adults and youth whose primary concern is to welcome individuals to the church.
Their duties include distributing information, such as the Sunday morning worship folders; assisting with offerings; and performing other tasks that help facilitate orderly and productive public church services, gatherings and meetings.
The Ushers are affiliated with the Michigan State Usher’s Organization and the National Associations of West Middlesex Usher’s Organization. | |
